I have been to the Electrowerks before for their rock night Voodoo but I have no real memory of the place, probably due to being absolutely trashed by the time I reach the venue. Not so with my recent jaunt to the old metal works. On Tuesday, I was lucky enough to see London band Sälen performing their own brand of bitter-tasting pop. It had been a last-minute decision to snap up tickets but I was not disappointed (not that I worried I would be, considering I’ve had these guys on repeat for weeks).
Before getting to Sälen, I absolutely must give a little bit of space to commenting on how much I enjoyed Celluloid Jam, an Italian group from Florence. I had listened to them a little before the gig but I can honestly say the sheer energy that put into performing live was refreshing. There was no pretence, just people loving the music they had created. After taking the time to listen to the tracks outside of the gig, I personally prefer them live because of that awesome vibe and I would happily see them again. Sälen made it onto the stage at about 9.30 and Ellie Kamio slowly eased us into their opener, So Rude. I am relatively new to their music but from a quick Google I believe they opened and closed their set with new songs. I think this is a pretty bold move and I’m not sure it worked entirely. Despite this the set flowed well and it was fantastic seeing and hearing my favourite tunes (IILWMBF, Copper Kiss and Heartbreak Diet) played live. The bass line and drums came to the forefront of the music and while I adore Kamio and her voice, the live element really drove home the work that Paul Taylor Wade and Simon Milner put into their music. I won’t lie, I barely remember the closing number I Am Champagne. This is frustrating, especially as it came after the popular Diseasey. I feel like the two could have been swapped and nothing would have been lost but knowing how bands pour over set lists I assume that there was reasoning behind the choice... Unfortunately, that choice was lost on me. Overall I really enjoyed myself. The music and the venue are both things I would revisit and I would say that Sälen have got themselves a fan for life. Final word: Brilliant night, gets a Copper Kiss from me.

Pop music in English countries are most favorite and hey also has the perfect voice for that music. Girls and boys arrange the concert for live shows. Public comes an enjoyed the time of life.

When buying a microwave, all you have to do is determine the capacity that suits your needs and then choose a microwave that suits your budget.
